In addition to the publications listed above, Mr. Lienhart has authored in excess of 1,000 open-file reports for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and consultant reports for various clients concerning:

  1. the evaluation of various sources of armor stone for breakwaters, shore-protection and confined diked disposal projects on the Great Lakes;
  2. the petrographic evaluation of various sources of concrete aggregate;
  3. rock mechanics studies and evaluation of the foundation rock of most of the navigational projects on the Ohio River and its tributaries plus the Soo locks at Sault Sainte Marie and the locks along the St. Lawrence River, and many of the dams and flood control structures east of the Mississippi;
  4. forensic evaluation of the quality and determination of the causes of deterioration of hardened concrete for structures such as bridges, dams and airfield pavements; and
  5. miscellaneous geologic topics involving geochemistry, geophysics, rock weathering, climatic evaluation of weathering intensity, soil and rock mechanics, clay mineralogy, radionuclides, biological activity affecting mineralogical alteration, karst and hydrogeology and many other specialty areas of the geologic sciences.
